Stiefel Hockey League's 2013 Summer Session
The summer session for the 2013 season will begin on Sunday June 2nd.
This season we expect an A and B league, depending on the number of teams that register, we may, for the first time, Implement a C league.
The division of the leagues is our attempt to keep the games competitive, without compromising game play. Ultimately, we do not want teams discouraged by the mercy rule.
Here are the answers to frequently asked questions for the Summer Session:
1. When does the season start?
The summer session of 2013 will begin Sunday June 2nd.
2. What will the cost be for summer session?
This summer session will cost $60.00 per player. Fee is required before the first game whether a player on a team's roster is present or not. After the first game, there will be an increase of $5 to the players league fee. If a player has not paid by game 3, they will be responsible to pay $75 for the season or be removed from the roster.
3. What nights will league take place?
Currently, we are anticipating a large number of teams. If the projected numbers are correct, league nights will include: Sunday, Tues, Wed and Thur. We will accommodate schedule requests to the best of our abilities, but cannot guarantee specific nights and times for every game.
4. Can I play in both leagues? If so do I pay twice?
A player may advance to a more competitive league, but cannot move down. If a player chooses to play in both leagues, his cost will be $100.
5. Does our team have to have jersey's with numbers on them?
No, if your team is not required to purchase jersey's. The team however is required to choose a primary color they will wear for each game. It is required that you were matching shirts that the team has designated as their team color. If the player on a team would like their stats accounted for, a number will be required.
